Controlled Forced Air Thawing Systems

In partnership with Kometos Oy we provide industrial thawing systems for the efficient and controlled commercial defrosting of any deep-frozen food products.  These PLC controlled industrial thawing chambers are perfectly suited for defrosting of meat, fish, shellfish, poultry and vegetable products (in blocks, bags or boxes).   Supplied as either thawing rooms installed inside the customers’ premises or in external containers, these PLC  controlled forced air thawing rooms have been designed and manufactured for efficient and controlled defrosting of any deep-frozen food products resulting in a high quality defrost with minimum product loss. With thawing capacities from 1 to 24 plus pallets these units are ideal for all sizes of food factories and processors. 

The FINNCOLD thawing systems use a PLC controlled thawing process, where temperature, air flow and humidity are controlled using temperature (product surface, – internal temperature – and room temperature) as well as humidity sensors.

In addition, the thawing system is also supplied with cooling equipment making it possible to use the chamber for storage (max.48 hours) when the product’s target temperature has been achieved.  Moreover, a scheduled thawing (max.48 hours) mode is available whereby the cabinet operates as cold storage (max -6hrs ) until the thawing process starts according to the set schedule.

Cryogenic Food Freezing Cabinets

Dohmeyer cryogenic batch freezers are used for discontinuous cooling, freezing or crust-freezing for a wide range of food products including meat, fish, vegetables and poultry in food factories.

PSS MM/VT Vacuum Tumbler Range

Overview

PSS food tumblers are ideal for fast and high quality commercial massaging, mixing, brining and marinating of meat, poultry and fish in a vacuum.  With capacities from 300 to 4,500 litres they are suited for small, medium and large food factories and processors. PSS SMV Speed Mixer Vacuum Range

Overview

The PSS SMV range of industrial food mixers are designed for food factory operations for fast and quality mixing of any product type under vacuum conditions. They ensure soft and gentle mixing of products of any structure whilst avoiding the addition of air in the mixing process. The mixers achieve the best mixing times thanks to their modern design.

The product is mixed up by maximally overlapping paddles in an almost square, two-level hopper, with the rotating paddles moving the product in every direction so there is no squeezing or squashing of the product. Control

PSS SGS is controlled easily and practically via PSS CCP, the central control panel, with the alternative of changing its posi- tion according to customer needs. The coloured touch screen is adequately large and transparent. It allows optional speed settings of the cutting worm as well as the feeding wing itself in order to achieve a required quality of end product.

Safety and manipulation

PSS SGS is standardly equipped with the cutting head safe- ty cover, the maintenance safety switch, the accessories trol- ley and the rotary crane for eased manipulation. On account of safety issues during operating the device, its individual and moving parts are placed inside and also safely covered. PSS SGS does not exceed the noise level of 80 dB, thus fulfilling all EU as well as U.S. standards.

Hygiene and sanitation

PSS SGS is manufactured from stainless steel AISI 304 and all external and internal surfaces, coming into contact with product, are polished. The hygienic design enables full com- pliance with the highest hygiene requirements for manipula- tion with the device. The rounded, non-overlapping edges, the polished surfaces and the perfect sealing ensure a fast and un- complicated sanitation.

PSS BES

PSS SGS can additionally be equipped with PSS BES, bone elimination system, which ensures a perfect separation of car- tilages, sinews and other hard particles from meat itself. The system guarantees a minimal loss of residual meat.

Dohmeyer CryoRoll for IQF Food Freezing

IQF Freezing of Food

The Dohmeyer CyroRoll is ideal for industrial IQF freezing of food products including meat, fish, shellfish, poultry, pasta and vegetables in food factories.  These rotary drum freezers consist of a sloping cylindrical drum, which rotates around its axis. Product and cooling medium are loaded continuously at the highest entrance point of the drum. By the rotating movement, both are intensively mixed while, at the same time, sliding to the lower exit of the drum. The stirring movement and the mixing prevent products from clumping together. Dohmeyer Cyrogenic Multibelt Food Freezer

Linear freezing tunnel with 3 belts on top of each other

Dohmeyer multi-belt cyrogenic freezers are ideal for food freezing where factory space is limited and/or the foodstuff requires high production capacities and/or long residence times, which would otherwise require very long linear tunnels. By stacking multiple belts on top of each other, you can drastically reduce the overall dimensions of the freezer.

With this solution multiple superposed conveyor belts move the product backwards and forwards through the freezer. At the end of each belt, the product falls onto the belt below to go back through the freezer. Designs with 3, 7, 9 and 11 levels are quite normal. (more…)

Dohmeyer Cryogenic Screw Conveyor Freezer

Introduction

Dohmeyer cryogenic screw conveyors  are ideal for factory cooling or freezing of  a wide variety of food, typically to prepare the texture and temperature of products before grinding ( e.g. cold brew coffee, herbs, …).   The conveyors can be used in conjunction with both continuous and batch production systems. The screw conveyors are not limited to moving products horizontally and upwards; while moving the product, screw conveyors can cool, mix and blend components.
As the product moves, it is gently sprayed and mixed with coolant.  Injecting liquid nitrogen droplets or CO2 dry ice into the screw conveyor ensures efficient and homogenous cooling or freezing.  Exhaust fans extract the waste gases.

Moving foodstuffs in this way saves time, reduces labour cost, eliminates handling and is more hygienic than conventional methods.
