Water Defrosting

Overview

Fish defroster is designed for frozen fish block or IQF product defrosting in water. Water defrosting minimises weight loss in defrosting operation. Water defrosting is used when high capacity defrosting process is needed.

Frozen fish blocks are manually loaded in  the defroster in its whole length. If fish is defrosted in boxes, fish together with the boxes can be put into water. Boxes are then removed when the fish is separated from the box surface. (more…)

Thawing Module MTC-15

Overview

FINNCOLD frozen products thawing systems operate along a PLC controlled thawing process, where temperature, air flow and humidity are controlled using temperature (product surface, – internal temperature – and room temperature) as well as humidity sensors. Air flow is controlled by a veriable frequency drive EC-fans.

The thawing system is also supplied with cooling equipment making it possible to use the chamber for storage (max.48 hours) when the product’s target temperature has been achieved. Storage temperature = process target temperature until the system is stopped. (more…)

Modular tunnel washers

Overview

Modular tunnel washers are available with a capacity up to 3400 crates/hour.

An industrial tunnel washer consists mainly of 2 parts placed in line, a washing zone and a rinsing zone. Depending on the nominal capacity and the nature of the pollution of the articles to be cleaned the installation can be equipped with a pre-wash zone and/or multiple washing zones.

The washing zones consist of a water tank, a circulation pump and a collector with spray tubes equipped with flat spray nozzles. This way, the water in the tank is constantly being re-circulated through the filters of the washing zone. (more…)

Cryogenic Freezing Cabinets

Cryogenic batch freezers use liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) or liquefied nitrogen (LIN) for discontinuous cooling and freezing. Cooling and mixing

Rotary drum freezers consist of a sloping cylindrical drum, which is rotating around its axis.
Product and cooling medium are loaded continuously at the highest entrance point of the drum. By the rotating movement, both are intensively mixed while, at the same time, sliding to the lower exit of the drum. The stirring movement and the mixing prevent products from clumping together. Volumetric batching line

Overview

Fish volumetric dosing line is designed to obtain permanent dosing in certain volume of small pelagic fish into the trays or boxes before freezing with even level of filling.

Volumetric batching is used when high volume batches at high speed is needed. Up to 11 kg batches.

Multibelt freezer

Linear freezing tunnel with 3 belts on top of each other

Cryogenic multi-belt freezers use liquefied carbon dioxide (LCO2) or liquefied nitrogen (LIN) for continuous cooling and freezing. Multiple superposed conveyor belts move the product backwards and forwards through the freezer. At the end of each belt, the product falls onto the belt below to go back through the freezer.
